Racers Hit The Mud For A Good Cause

Posted: Updated:

It was "Mud Challenge Day" at Fort Gordon and 460 teams signed up for a good cause.

A few seconds after the starting line competitors jumped head first into the mud pit.

Later in the 4 mile race there was more mud to crawl through.

Then, there was a 7 foot high wall that required a lot a team work to get over.

Team Dirty Divas of Evans, GA say, "It was hard. (laughter) No, it was fun, the uphills were hard. The highlights were working together as  team. (Wooohoo) We had to get over together."

Racers headed straight for the fire hose to wash off at the end of the race.

Over 2,500 people signed up this year and all proceeds go to Fort Gordon's Morale, Welfare,  and Recreation program.
