MANATEE COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

Manatee County Sheriff's deputies seized over 5000 packages of synthetic marijuana or Spice weighing about 180 pounds with the retail value of $65,000. Deputies were executing search warrants at two gas stations in Bradenton Thursday.

Deputies told us, the same person owns both gas stations located at 5303 14th St. West and 5704 14th St. West. They obtained the search warrants for these Shell stations as a result of an undercover purchase of Spice there.

According to the MCSO report, deputies also seized several computers and documents related to the sale of synthetic marijuana.  They told us, they haven't arrested anybody in connection with this case.

The investigation into these gas stations continues. MCSO deputies said they will monitor other area stores to make sure they comply with the state law regarding synthetic drugs.
