South Carolina -

Former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford has won the special election for the state's first congressional seat.

With 87 percent of the precincts reporting, Sanford won the race with 54 percent of the vote against Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch, who is the sister of Stephen Colbert.

As you may remember, Sanford saw his political go downhill 4 years ago when he admitted to being in Argentina with his mistress after disappearing for 5 days.
