***UPDATED at 5:34 P.M. on Monday, May 6th***

Columbia County Investigators say 2-year-old Sky Allen was ejected from her mom's vehicle Thursday afternoon. The impact is not what killed her, though, as autopsy results prove she was already dead.

Her mom, 29-year-old Mabrina Middlebrooks is charged with murder. Columbia County Sheriff's Office investigators say the child died a day before the crash due to multiple stab wounds in the right side of her neck.

This shocking news has neighbors of the family in disbelief. They say they could never see Mabrina Middlebrooks killing her child.

"She would walk by, passing with her kids. Very friendly person," says neighbor Travalus Lawson.

Courtney Elledge, reporting: "Neighbors say Marina Middlebrooks was a typical mother. They never noticed anything out of the ordinary. In fact, they would frequently see her bringing her kids to this playground."

Now, Middlebrooks' neighborhood on Norton Boulevard remains silent, but the community has many questions: are there any other suspects involved? What will happen to her other children?

"The kids were always well mannered," explains Lawson.

Many questions are still waiting to be answered by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
