Deadly North Georgia Train Crash Claims 3 Lives

Three people are dead after an Amtrak train collides with a vehicle in Northeast Georgia.

The crash happened Friday night in Toccoa.  That is about 95 miles north of Atlanta.

Police say the car was crossing through an unprotected railway crossing when it was hit.

They say the car burst into flames after being pushed several hundred feet down the track.

The three people inside the car died in the wreck.

No one on the Amtrak train was hurt.

Police are investigating the accident.
