USC Aiken concluded the first two rounds of play at the league championship with a two-round team tally of 582 (300-282). USC Aiken's team round of 282 in the second round is its second-best team round of the 2012-13 season.
USC Aiken is seven strokes ahead of Columbus State (298-291) and Georgia Southwestern (297-292), who are both tied for second at 589.
Three Pacers are currently in the top-5 individually with the 2013 Peach Belt Conference First-Team duo of Matt Atkins and JP Solis both tied for second individually at 143.
The 2013 Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year, Atkins (Owensboro, Ky./Henderson State) opened the Peach Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship with a 78. Atkins rebounded impressively in round two by carding a career-best 7-under 65.
A three-time All-Peach Belt Conference selection, Solis (Morelia, Mexico/Lico Morelia) opened with a 74 in round one. He posted a 3-under 69 in the second round.
USC Aiken's Mark Dickson (Edinburgh, Scotland/Firrhill) is currently tied for fifth individually with a two-round score of 144 (71-73).
Columbus State's Bryan Lichimo is in first individually after two rounds at 142 (73-69).
The third and final round of the 2013 Peach Belt Conference Men's Golf Championship is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 21. The first Pacer is scheduled to tee off at 9 a.m.
