He's the youngest golfer to ever play at the Masters– 14-year-old Tianlang Guan from Guangzhou, China.

He made the cut in Friday's second round of the Masters.

The 8th grade is playing the course at Augusta like an old pro and even stealing some of Tiger's thunder.

The Chinese teenager was assessed a one-stroke penalty for playing too slowly between shots on Friday.

But the 14-year old, who is the youngest to play at the Master made the cut and will play this weekend.

Guan has played in more than 200 tournaments and is the youngest player at any major tournament.

Guan qualified for the Masters by winning the fourth annual Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in November.

He goes to California for about three months during the year, staying with relatives in Los Angeles and San Diego to train.

Guan says Tiger Woods is one of his inspirations.

Guan says he was a little nervous during his first tee shot, but feels comfortable on the course.

WJBF News Channel 6's Archith Seshadri spoke with the young golfer this week.

"I started when I was 4-5 years old. I practice 2 hours on weekdays and more on weekends. I think it will help China's golf and make more people play it and support the game," said Guan.

Tiger Woods is the youngest player to ever win at Augusta National, he was 21.
