Country Music Star Chris Young performed at the Lady Antebellum Pavilion tonight on Thursday night.
A lot of people weren't sure if the show was going to happen because of the severe weather... but the storms didn't make it there in time to affect Country Music Night at the Columbia County Championship Festiva.
There were some showers throughout the night, but not enough to keep country music fans away. Country Music Star Chris Young took the stage around 8:30pm.
Back in 2011, Young won two American Country Awards for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.
The opening act was Brent Cobb. Cobb is an up and coming singer and songwriter from Ellaville, Georgia.
Net proceeds from the concert will will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The festival will continue Friday night
"Friday night Drake White will open for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Gates will open again at 6:00pm and Drake will go on 7:00pm. We anticipate Lynyrd Skynyrd to go on about 8:15pm tomorrow," says The Savor Society President & CEO Jim Freudenberg.
Tickets for the Lynyrd Skynyrd
concert can be purchased for $55 dollars at the gate.
