Bryan County Deputy Coroner Tommy Flanders confirms the death of a toddler after a vicious attack on Wednesday. It involved a group of dogs. The child's name has not yet been released.
Bryan county Sheriff Clyde Smith tells the Savannah Morning News the 18-month-old girl's grandmother was asleep and suddenly woke up to a commotion, looked out a window and saw family dogs attacking her grand daughter in the yard.
Authorities say Bryan County Animal Control has put down the dogs, pit bulls and pit bull mixes.
