Patch Talks Start

Posted: Updated:

Planning for the Patch is underway.

Last week commissioners directed the city administrator to begin negotiations with first tee of Augusta to come up with a plan for a joint operation of the city golf course.

First Tee is wasting little time, meeting  with the administrator today to begin laying the ground work to make The Patch a true city golf course.

"Every district has golfers so every district in there will benefit from this proposal we can operate The Patch cheaper than the others so I think it's an opportunity for the city I think it's an opportunity for First Tee I hope we can complete it," says Paul Simon of First Tee.

Along with First TEE, two other companies that made bids to run the golf course will be also present proposals to run The Patch.
