Augusta Woman Arrested, Accused Of Cutting Man Several Times With A Pocket Knife

An Augusta woman has been arrested and accused of stabbing a man several times Friday.

On Friday, at approximately midnight, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1600 Block of Ramsey Street in reference to an Aggravated Assault. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 45-year-old black male victim had received multiple lacerations to his person including the back, neck, and head areas of his body. Investigators say, the weapon involved includes a small pocket knife.

The victim was transported to University Hospital by EMS workers where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The woman charged in the incident is identified as 44-year-old Suzette Ailene Bush. She was placed in custody and later transported to the Richmond County Jail. She is charged with Aggravated Assault.
