The trail of blood extended almost seven miles back to the Happy Valley store, where investigators believe a fight between Jennifer

This was a mandatory bond hearing, but Judge Dunaway told the courtroom full of people...he believes Ricky and Tina Wells are a flight risk because the two could be facing the death penalty in this case. He says they could be a threat to the community, and in danger, themselves, if they got out, so that's why he set their bond at such a high amount.

Tearful and holding each other up, as they have been since last September, the family of Jennifer Kitchens Wells left the courtroom, inside the McDuffie County Jail, knowing it wouldn't be easy for Ricky and Tina Wells to make bond.

Judge Dunaway wouldn’t allow television cameras inside the courtroom, where both suspects sat in inmate jumpsuites.

Tina Wells could be overhear mumbling to her state apointed attorney that she was scared.

Both suspects are facing charges for malace murder, but neither has been indicted by a grand jury, as the district attorney’s office says they’re stilling waiting on autopsy results to come back from the state crime lab. They’re trying to figure out if Jennifer Wells was still alive when she was tied behind the car, which is an aggravating facotr that could be the determining factor if both suspects will face the death penalty.

It’s not clear exactly when the Wells' will be back in court, but it’s possible that their case might not even go to the grand jury in the summer, as the district attorny’s office continues to wait for those autopsy results.
