We are learning new information about a Thursday night murder in McDuffie County. At a press conference Friday afternoon, agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said they found evidence at the scene that indicates the victim, 36-year-old Jennifer Wells of Gibson, was dragged behind a car.

Investigators say Ricky Wells and Tina Wells are both in jail charged with murder.  They would not say how the victim and the suspects are related, if at all.

McDuffie County Sheriff Logan Marshall says he believes this all started after an incident at the Happy Valley Store in South McDuffie County around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. The sheriff says Jennifer Well's body was later discovered in Warren County near the intersection of Highway 80 and the Georgia Highway 17 connector.

Investigators marked off a crime scene that stretched around seven miles from McDuffie County into Warren County. Both Sheriff Marshall and Agent Pat Morgan with the G.B.I. says several agencies working together led to the quick arrest.

News Channel 6's Corey McGinnis is in McDuffie County and will have more on this story on News Channel 6 at 5.
