Phoenix, AZ -- Arizona State University (ASU) students gave the clothes off their backs...and then went for a run.

ASU students hyped up Wednesday night...for the "undie run."

It's an event designed to help out a local charity group. The plan...to take the clothes off your back...donate them...then...run through the ASU campus.

Brian Green, ASU student: "...why not go out, have a good time, take off our clothes, have a wild party and we'll help out the needy people in the area."

The event was cut short because things got out of hand, but all clothes will still be donated to the needy.
