Anne Maxwell

Anne Maxwell is a WJBF NewsChannel 6 Digital Journalist. She joined our News team in 2016. Prior to that, she was an Associate Producer at WAGT, where she helped write and edit their evening broadcasts.

Anne graduated Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in May 2015 with an A.B.J. in public affairs journalism and a B.A. in history.

While at UGA, she wrote for The Red and Black, a student-run newspaper, studied travel writing in Prague, and interned for U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss on Capitol Hill, where she was a part of the communications team that assisted Sen. Chambliss as he responded to the rise of ISIS as well the prisoner-swap of the “Taliban Five” for Sgt. Bo Bergdahl.

Anne is an Augusta native, and she attended Episcopal Day School before spending her high school years at boarding at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va.

But after years away, she has enjoyed returning to the CSRA and feels privileged to report on issues that affect people in her hometown.
