Alesha, says meteorology is her world, and that she desired to become a Meteorologist and Journalist, not only because she wanted an active career, but because it’s her passion. At the age of nine she dreamed of becoming a Meteorologist; after listening to Chief Meteorologist, George Myers speak to her third-grade class during a school talk. Since then she has been fascinated with atmospheric processes, and it was local Anchors and Meteorologist who motivated her to continue to pursue her dreams.

Though her passion for journalism grew when she started college, she was once a freelance and studio photographer, who took destination photographs for engaged couples and families.

After being a photographer for years, she landed her first job in news at a top market news station where she grew in her profession.

On her spare time she enjoys hot yoga, photography, attending fashion shows, events, volunteering within the CSRA, and visiting family and friends in Charlotte, N.C.
