Search Warrant At Aiken County Hotel Sends Two To Jail
According to Lt. Troy Elwell, on December 31st, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) investigators arrested two individuals after executing a search warrant at a local hotel. While investigators were conducting an undercover operation, Tramaine Hart sold a quantity of crack cocaine to an undercover operative from room 135 at the Royal Inn Hotel, located at 4638 Jefferson Davis Highway, in Clearwater, SC. Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant at the hotel, a short time later, locating Tramaine Hart and Michael Buford inside the hotel room.
Aiken Neighborhood Evacuated After Dynamite Found
According to Lt. David Turno, officers from the Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) responded to call from the homeowner at 288 Sand Fox Place in Aiken, about 4:50 p.m., Wednesday afternoon.

Second Suspect Arrested In Aiken County Murder, Two Other Suspects Still Wanted
According to Lt. Troy Elwell, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) has obtained warrants on James W. Alston 27, of the 300 block of East Beltline Road, in Anderson, South Carolina for Murder. Alston is currently being held in Anderson, on unrelated charges. Two others are still being sought.The charges stem from an arson amd murder of George Woltz, Jr., on Saturday. Firefighters were called to a house fire on Westover Drive, and after the fire was extinguished, Woltz’s body was found. 51-year-old Keith Alan Fitzgerald has already been arrested for arson and murder.

Aiken Men Sought For Exploitation And Larceny
According to Lt. Troy Elwell, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men, who on December 15th, went to the victim’s residence and persisted they pressure wash her house. The victim allowed the subjects to pressure wash her residence. While the work was being performed, both subjects asked to use her bathroom. The victim became suspicious after the subjects left with out being paid. Upon checking the residence the victim found a considerable amount of money missing.

Former Midland Valley High School Baseball Coach Arrested
According to Lt. Troy Elwell, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Midland Valley High School baseball coach, who for two years used solicited funds intended for advertisements at the high school baseball field, to cover personal debts totaling more than $12,000.

Aiken Club Shootings Leave 4 Injured
Investigators in Aiken were busy this weekend, with two separate shootings. Officers say three people were injured at an early Saturday morning shooting at “The Spot” nightclub in North Augusta. Then, a second shooting happened at a teen club in Aiken at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. This time, a 16-year-old girl was shot in the stomach. Count on Joy Howe for the story.

North Augusta Man Sought In Domestic Dispute
According to Lt. Troy Elwell, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is looking for a man, who on November 29th, kicked in the door to his girlfriends residence, pointed a shotgun at her, then turned and fired two rounds into her vehicle that was parked in front of the residence. The victim retrieved a handgun and fired several rounds at the subject, who then fled the scene.
