BREAKING NEWS: Accident on I-20 Kills One. Interstate Shutdown

An accident on I-20 has claimed the life of one person. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that the crash happened around nine Wednesday night. Three vehicles were involved, including a tractor trailer and a box truck.

North Augusta, SC - An accident on I-20 has claimed the life of one person.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that the crash happened around 9:00 p.m., Wednesday night near the westbound mile marker 6.

Three vehicles were involved, including a tractor-trailer and a box truck.

If you are traveling I-20 westbound, that’s going from Aiken towards Atlanta, expect delays due to this collision. The interstate is shutdown. A detour has been set up starting at Bettis Academy Road, at exit 11, and rejoining the interstate at Highway 25, exit 5.
