Many of you have seen and heard the dash cam recording of former Richmond County officer Wesley Powell. For some reason he didn’t turn off the camera and microphone after a traffic stop on July second. Last month, the solicitor’s office found out about that cell phone conversation. 15 career ruining minutes of profanity, racial slurs and sexual comments.

“Not only am i going to sexually assault her. I’m going f*** her with the d*** barrel of my d*** glock.”
Many of you weighed in on the incident.
Citizen, Augusta Ga
“Well i don’t know ...you can’t have that in the public.”
Here Powell is heard talking about an earlier traffic stop.

“I got this girl the other day. She had a d*** little n***** in the backseat. This thing wasn’t even old enough to crawl yet. I know she didn’t have seatbelt on neither. I was going to give her a verbal warning you know, strap that monkey in the backseat. You got a booster seat back there, put that monkey in the booster seat.”
Keith Robinson

“I took that personally. Here it is 2008 you got a black man running for president bringing change in, same views. We still have the same views, like mlk was talking about 40 years ago. Things haven’t changed. I think they should have fired him.”
Investigators say Powell resigned when confronted with the tape.

“He shouldn’t have made the comments at all. It shouldn’t have been made at all regardless of his personal feelings he should have kept it to himself. He got exactly what was coming and he should have been fired.”
