One Man Injured In Augusta Shooting

A Sunday afternoon shooting has sent one man to the hospital. The shooting happened around 2:00 p.m., on Shalimar Drive, which is off of Richmond Hill Road near Dean’s Bridge Road.

Augusta, GA—A Sunday afternoon shooting has sent one man to the hospital.

The shooting happened around 2:00 p.m., on Shalimar Drive, which is off of Richmond Hill Road near Dean’s Bridge Road.

According to investigators, a man was shot in chest, then ran to his mother’s home in the Cedar Grove Townhouse neighborhood. From there, he ended up at MCG. There’s no word on his condition.

Authorities do have a person of interest in custody.
