Former Augusta City Employee Charged With Misusing County-Issued Credit Card

According to Lt. Tony Walden, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Augusta city worker Tuesday in connection with misuse of a county-issued credit card. The employee is identified as 39-year-old Ernest Reginald Griffin.

Augusta, GA—According to Lt. Tony Walden, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a former Augusta city worker Tuesday in connection with misuse of a county-issued credit card.

The employee is identified as 39-year-old Ernest Reginald Griffin.

Griffin is a former employee of Richmond County Animal Services and was employed there when the transactions occured.

Griffin has been charged with one count of Financial Credit Card Fraud, and one count of Criminal Attempt Finanial Credit Card Fraud.
