LOS ANGELES, CA - Actor Ted McGinley leaves “Dancing With the Stars” after weeks of rehearsing and hard work.

The “Married with Children” actor and his professional partner Inna Brayer were eliminated Wednesday from the seventh season of ABC’s dancing competition.

Ted McGinley says being on “Dancing With the Stars” was fun but “some of us aren’t meant to dance.”

The duo got a score of 19 out of 30 from the judges Tuesday after their mambo routine. The routine, which was the third-lowest, was combined with viewer votes.

Jeffrey Ross was the first to go just one day before.

Community of support

He learned how to Fox Trot and how to Mambo. And he learned something else, perhaps much more important than any dance.

McGinley says, “The people in my community, Pacific Palisades, have come out - it was like somebody died. They were bringing food to my house, calling me in the morning because my wife’s out of town. You know, ‘can we help you out? What can we do?’ and so when I think about that it makes me very emotional.”

Brooke Burke, an early favorite for this season’s competition had this to say about McGinley, “Ted really put his heart and soul into it. It’s sad. it’s going to be sad on Monday”.

Ted says he feels bad for his partner, Inna Brayer, someone he considers a true champion.

“She could be whatever she wants to be. And I think she’s a young Fran Drescher and I think she should have a television show. And if I just stayed on the damn show a litttle longer, we’d make her a big star”!

The remaining celebrities include chef Rocco DiSpirito; former pro football star Warren Sapp; TV personalities Brooke Burke and Kim Kardashian; singers Lance Bass and Toni Braxton; Olympic gold medalists Maurice Greene and Misty May-Treanor; and actresses Cloris Leachman, Cody Linley and Susan Lucci.
