NEW YORK (AP) - Jordan Walden got the final out with the bases loaded after Atlanta manager Fredi Gonzalez pulled star closer Craig Kimbrel, and the Braves held off the New York Mets 7-5 Saturday night. Freddie Freeman had three hits and hustled his way through a weird play that brought the Braves two runs when the Mets were unable to challenge a costly incorrect call.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Jeff Teague scored a playoff career-high 28 points and Paul Millsap added 25 as eighth-seeded Atlanta rolled past top-seeded Indiana 101-93 on Saturday night, taking a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Hawks ended an eight-game road losing streak in the playoffs, which dated to May 2011. Game 2 is Tuesday in Indianapolis.

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Miguel Angel Jimenez, extending his impressive Champions Tour debut, shot 2-under 70 on Saturday to take a one-stroke lead over defending champion Bernhard Langer into the final round of the Greater Gwinnett Championship. Fred Couples, who shot 68, is in third place, two shots behind Jimenez.

So much for home-court advantage in the NBA playoffs. Indiana, Toronto and the Los Angeles Clippers all gave it away Saturday, a day when road teams enjoyed a slew of opening-day success. The Pacers lost to Atlanta 101-93, Toronto fell to Brooklyn 94-87 and the Clippers were topped by Golden State 109-105. According to STATS, the only season where road teams won more than three games to open a playoff season was 1966. Visiting clubs won the first five games of that postseason.
