FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - The Atlanta Falcons opened training camp with "a sense of urgency." The Falcons are looking to bounce back from a 4-12 record. It was the first losing season of coach Mike Smith's six-year tenure. Smith said he wanted to see more intensity from the very first day of training camp, and he liked what he saw yesterday.

ATLANTA (AP) - A judge has approved plans to issue up to $397 million in public bonds to finance a new stadium for the Atlanta Braves in the city's northern suburbs. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports Cobb County Superior Court Judge Robert Leonard II overruled 12 legal objections brought by residents.
